CRYOTHERAPY WITH CRYOPEN

REMOVES UNWANTED BLEMISHES
WHAT IS CRYOTHERAPY?

It is an advanced Cryotherapy innovation that is a fast, effective, safe and new solution for removal of skin imperfections. Procedures typically last from 5 to 30 seconds, so you can be in and out of the salon quickly.

HOW IT WORKS

It emits a fine jet of Nitrous Oxide under high pressure, which allows the clinician to work with millimetre precision. This destroys the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid, forming ice shards and crystals which rupture the membrane, thereby destroying the cell. That means there will be no collateral damage to healthy tissue. It’s so incredibly accurate and practical.

Cosmetic procedures such as skin tags, milia and cherry angiomas are no longer being treated by many doctors on the NHS. With Cryotherapy you can now have these treatments here. The applicator is held as close as possible to the skin imperfection and moved quickly towards and away from it. This could be from 1-30 seconds, depending on the size and depth.

BEFORE & AFTER

PLASMA LESION REMOVAL

Plasma pen lesion removal is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure aimed at eliminating various skin imperfections, including moles, skin tags, age spots, and other benign lesions. Utilizing the power of plasma energy, the procedure works by creating tiny arcs of electricity that vaporize the targeted tissue, effectively removing it without causing damage to surrounding skin. The process begins with numbing the area to minimize discomfort, followed by precise application of the plasma pen to the lesion. As the pen makes contact with the skin, it triggers a controlled heating effect that causes the lesion to shrink and eventually scab over. Over the course of a few days to weeks, the scab naturally falls off, revealing smoother, rejuvenated skin beneath. Plasma pen lesion removal offers minimal downtime and can be an effective solution for those seeking to improve the appearance of their skin with minimal risk and downtime.

FAQ'S

If using Cryotherapy, the quick-freezing technique kills the localised cells in the area which
cause them to shrivel and die. The treated area may go darker and form a light scab over
the course of a few weeks but will return to normal pigmented skin in about 6 weeks. You
must allow the time for your skin to return to normal before returning for your check up and
continue to apply a high SPF after the pigment has been removed to stop the lesion from
returning. Normally one treatment is sufficient for pigmentation using Cryotherapy, other
lesions may require several treatments before full reduction.
If using Plasma, a numbing cream will be applied to minimise the discomfort from the heat
that plasma uses to immediately remove the lesion. Once the lesion is removed, a light scab
may form. It is important to keep the areas clean after removal to avoid infection. One
treatment is usually only required from the plasma treatment, but this will be explained at
your consultation if you may need another treatment due to the size of the original lesion.

In a nutshell, Plasma can immediately remove the lesion in question, Cryotherapy also work
alongside your own bodies immune system to remove the lesion over the course of the few
weeks. The choice of which one you choose is up to you.

Yes, some people may not be able to have Plasma and/or Cryotherapy. Please contact us to
check if you are suitable.
The duration of the treatment time will depend on the surface area and the thickness of the
tissue being treated. Upon the clinical evaluation of the depth of the area, the clinician will
choose an application time from 1 to 30 seconds for Cryotherapy with appointments being no longer than 30 mins. Plasma treatments can take anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on how
many lesions, this also includes numbing time.
Treatment costs vary depending on treatment type or time taken. If you have several lesions
that need removing at the same time, we can offer a set 2-hour session to remove as many
benign lesions as possible in one appointment which is more cost effective for you

It depends, if it is for a skin tag, pigmentation, or verruca removal, this can be done without a
GP referral. If the lesion is not known or if it is a mole, we will need a GP referral letter before
we are able to perform the removal for you as we need to check it is benign first and does
not need full investigation.
No, the Cryotherapy treatment is likened to a light stinging nettle feeling. The Plasma will be numbed beforehand, but you may feel a slight heat during the treatment. Neither would be
painful.
Your skin will have to go through a remodelling process and skin cell renewal. This normally
happens every 30 days but may take 6 weeks for your refreshed skin to appear. Some
clients may find this takes longer due to their age or health conditions. Once the treated area
has settled down and the skin has remodelled, we advise using SPF daily to avoid the return
and to stop skin sensitivity.
We are fully qualified in Cryotherapy treatments and hold a level 4 (OFQUAL) qualification in
Plasma.
